Spent yesterday saying goodbye to a friend who was married to a friend I met at Chrysler. Her name was Samantha, but we all called her Sammie. She was 36 and a mother of two. Her husband ask me to be one of the pallbearers, which I was honored to do. She would call me when her hubby was down or in a dark place and she didnt know how to reach him. But of course she did. She called me. I did what I could to help. Sometimes the best thing to do is just listen. We had a couple of strong spats that were eventually solved and forgiven. Im glad we had no unfinished business when she died. She and Owen definitely belonged together. If youve ever seen them interact with each other you know what I mean But now they arent. Which is why it hurts.
