Spoke at ET NOWs India Economic Conclave on boosting investments into India and addressed a variety of concerns of industry and investors. I retierated our goal of 24x7 power for all Indians by 2019, just like the states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have achieved. Also outlined some of our other initiatives such as doubling production of Coal India Limited to 1 billion tons by 2019, and the slew of structural / regulatory reforms such as amendments to the Electricity Act and Tariff Policy, new Renewable Energy Policy etc, which are all building blocks for our target of 24x7 power for all.
