Spread the word! On April 9, Congressman Mike Pompeo introduced the Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act of 2014. This bill is fatally flawed and denies consumers a right to know about GE foods. In fact, rather than mandating GMO labeling, the bill mandates a system of voluntarily labeling of genetically engineered foods. Polls show that 93 percent of American consumers – including the eight out of ten American families who buy organic products – want to know what is in their food, and support mandatory GMO labeling.
