Srimad Bhagavatam is dealing with everyone’s confusions. People are confused for they are involved with self-destructive activities and considering them to be sources of enjoyment. This propensity to enjoy is there in everyone, even animals, but the concept is vastly misunderstood. The Absolute Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krsna, is in fact the only enjoyer and everyone else is subordinate to Him as much as a child is subordinate to the father. As soon as one understands this fact they stops their futile attempts to lord it over others, realizing such attempts to be cause of problems. Thus, they become humble to acknowledge reality and distinguish between real & artificial happiness. Consequently, they can now open up to the remedy, to cure their original disease – envy of Sri Krishna.
