St Catharines Support necessary....NOW Keeping everyone updated. The legal departments from the city of St Catharines has replied to CanHerps emails and reach out with their written bylaw stating it was written with ALL deputations consideration. CanHerp believes this was in fact done and a policy that was not presented in the format presented that evening. CanHerp has reached out to the council a number of times and had received confirmation that the bylaw was being reviewed once again as some of the Councillors recognized something array of its final print. CanHerp is now asking those responsible reptile pet owners that reside in St Catharines, those that will be affected by the bylaw as it is written in St Catharines to write, email and or fax their municipal representative to share their personal disillusion with the process that has taken place. When writing this please consider the following points • Keep it to one page • Be sincere, rudeness, vulgarity, threatening tones will get it shredded • Write it as you are part of a large community that understands the concerns of the council • Remind them that you are a vote that secures their position, their employment • Utilize spell check • Sign with your name, do not send as anonymous Send your letter to your councilor, copy it to the neighboring councilor, copy to the mayor’s office, send a copy to your local newspaper and utilize social media to copy it too. DO NOT ALLOW it to get out of hand in negative discussion. This will work against the cause.
