Daily Deals are big business revolutionizing the way consumers find deals and the way merchants reach new customers. Through our comprehensive advertising strategy and Deal Saver platform, the Star-Telegram is connecting the best customers with the best businesses in DFW every day! Currently we are looking for the right person to add to our dynamic team! The ideal candidate is a mover and shaker who knows a good deal when they see it and is not afraid to think outside the box to make things happen. If you move at a fast pace, have a hunter mentality to find and negotiate the very best deals or have sold daily deals such as Groupon, Living Social or Sweet Jack, we want to talk to you! Our outside sales team is fueled by high energy and a passion for making things happen quickly. As a Deal Saver representative in the community, our Account Executives are interacting each day with area merchants and redefining the way local businesses attract new customers. Responsibilities: • Aggressively prospecting and cultivating leads for Deal Saver deals. • High activity levels to meet and exceed weekly deal goals. • Securing appointments by phone or in person to present the Deal Saver program. • Identify and negotiating good deals with a consultative selling approach that will maximize the program and relationships for repeat business. • Preparing and managing the deal documents and submitting for Approvals. • Collecting the deal and payment information from the advertiser along with the basic description of the deal. • Provide necessary documentation and deal proofs to advertisers and the support team. Required Skills/Experience: • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required. • Minimum two(2) years of outside sales experience is required, advertising sales experience preferred. • Passion for outside sales, prospecting and selling digital advertising. • Technically savvy and comfortable using and presenting digital products. • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic, high activity sales role. • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak comfortably and sell to all decision making levels. • Superior organizational skills. • Strong knowledge of social media such as Facebook and Twitter. • Thrives working autonomously with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity to meet deadlines.
