Star Wars Fact: The giant creature that lives in the dungeon underneath Jabba The Hut is called a Rancor. The Rancor was given to Jabba from his henchmen as a birthday present. In other words, the Rancor was forced to live in a dungeon it could barely fit in and was starved so that it would eat anything and everything it was given (a sort of execution thing that Jabba liked). So when Luke kills the Rancor in Return Of The Jedi, its actually really sad because Luke didnt even want to kill it, he just had no choice. So the next time you watch the movie and you see the Rancors keeper start crying after Luke kills it, go ahead and shed a tear as well. The whole story is actually pretty sad. Ok, thats all for now.
