State of the sneaker game: IMO THE RESELLER GAME IS DEAD. AGAIN, I say it again, RESELLER GAME IS DEAD. Why? It basically comes down to greed. Not greed from people who cop to resell, but from the corporations. Only a couple of years back, we would see 1 or 2 pairs per month that we may consider buying. Now? 3-4, maybe EVEN 5-6 pairs a month!!! Nike and other sneaker companies are trying to capitalize on the market, but I have always said, WE HAVE REACHED THE SATURATION POINT. You see the signs all around, shoes sitting on the shelves, people cant move shoes they have if its a GR or not so limited shoe, consignment stores slowly down with buybacks and more STEAL deals or 10% off are popping up, they got to pay their bills, but IF nothing is moving, what do a business do? Cut back and sell for a lower price. I predict we will slowly go back to what the game should BE, COP WHAT YOU LIKE and WITHOUT HOOPS TO GO THROUGH. The sneaker game is NOT DEAD, just THE RESELLER GAME. Comments? Opinions?
