Status Update: By Delaina Bradley Update: not much of an update they moved us to the 6th floor neurology floor and i hate it. I dont think they should have taken josh out of icu but they move u once the respirator comes out which is stupid because they have to put it back in tomorrow when they look at his foot. Going to have to sleep in joshs room in a chair because the nurses on this floor dont monitor their patients on a regular basis which scares me because josh tries to get out of the bed constantly so instead of watching him they will just strap him down and put a jacket on him. They actually had a pt get out of bed last night and they couldnt find him so they had to lock down the unit. They had to put the chest tube back in again too due to air around his lung and it was so painful everyone in the whole unit could hear him. They also want to put a camera down his nose and do a swallow test at some point to make sure he can eat food and liquid is not going into his lungs. Going to be a long night and wish we coukd get the heck off this floor! Ill update everyone tomorrow after i hear from the orthopedics josh is scheduled around 2:15 and is scheduled for 2-3 hrs.
