Stella Odua should do the needful or be pushed It is a shame that the Minister of Aviation, Stella Odua displayed unprecedented indiscretion in the purchase of two armoured vehicles at the cost of N255m meant for her personal comfort. It is even more worrisome that the purchase took place when the aviation industry she is overseeing is at its lowest ebb. On what basis did she allow the purchase of the vehicles? What level of security is she entitled to as a cabinet minister? That amount could have provided 510 boreholes in 510 villages with portable water in Nigeria. The other side of this shameful act is the role played by Mr.Joyce Nkemakolam, a one time acting head of NCAA. It did not occur to this public servant that the said amount could have helped in improving navigational facilities at our airports. The President should without delay relieve Stella Odua of her duties as Minister of Aviation. In the same vein, Mr. Nkemakolam should be forced to embark on his accumulated leave if he is still in service. The duo must be processed for prosecution for willful causation of financial loss to the state. This will reassure the public that the present regime is serious with the fight against administrative corruption in Nigeria. This is abominable.
