Still suffering no small shock and awe following Jason Hwang and Satoshi Takeishis astonishing set at Quinns last Monday -- supernal, omniversal, panharmonic, media-multiplied, and coruscating across fifty shades of blue. THOSE cats! Man alive...thanks to them both, to Quinns and to everyone who came out and lost their little minds for the journey. The Monday nights I curate will start getting scaled back to once a month in May, in order to make room for some other folks. But one of the major new events will be the free jazz jam Mr. Chris Kelsey will host the first Monday of every month, beginning next week. Hell be joined in the rhythm section by returning champeen François Grillot on bass and Enrique Haneine on drums. Plus many others guests TBD sitting in throughout the night...including...perhaps...myself?
