Stop Fifteen – Reflection: When Daddy Goes to Prison (pages 208-215) seems a tough thing to embrace. But the reality is that in many parts of the world, our missionaries really need to think through what to do, or what should be done, and what to tell their children, should that happen. That idea is so far removed from us that it seems almost irrelevant. BUT, please keep it all in perspective. AND, understand that our missionaries live day in and day out with that reality. As I read through this entry tonight, Day Thirty-Five of our LiveDead: The Journey study, I had to keep reminding myself that Dick Brogden was writing this for his sons. Such love—to try to prepare them for the unthinkable, and yet so very possible. And even in that, I saw great truths about life’s challenging, frustrating, unmanageable problems—thinks I deal with—and found truth from the Word of God, and from Dick’s hear to his sons. Whatever it is that you deal with day-in and day-out, remember the three E’s: Escape-Endurance-Eternity. Read it and be strengthened for the journey! --Pastor Dave
