Story behind the photo – 169 – Barbara Joy Mullen..* Some devotees claim that they would pray with closed eyes while Bhagavan is moving among devotees, giving the joy of Darshan. This is not correct. Why should we deny ourselves, such a blessed chance. We should Look at Him with both eyes wide open, During this Darshan, even if few drops of tears come out of our eyes, that would be wonderful !! In this Photo we find Sister Barbara Joy Mullen, face to face with Bhagavan. The eyes seemed closed. I asked her, “why did you close your eyes in Divine presence?” She replied, “Dear Bombay Srinivasan, I think I just blinked as the camera clicked”. She recalled a dream she had at the young age of 5 years. In that dream, I ascended crystal stairs up into the blue sky, clouds all around and I reached God on His Throne. I believe that dream was fulfilled when Swami called me up to Him on the veranda that day!. She had also a divine experience to narrate. Barabara’s own words, “I went to Prashanthi Nilayam to play for Swami in 2010. Our U.S.A. group was set to perform our musical program and we were seated before of Swami in Sai Kulwant Hall. I was in the second row with my keyboard. Swamis eyes met mine and held His gaze there, as I played.. I did not want to look away, but I had to look down at my music to turn the page! What to do??? As the music approached the end of each page, I mentally (and a bit frantically) said to Baba, Oh Swami, I do not want to look down, but I HAVE to, to turn the page! When I looked up again, Swami was still staring at me! This went on for the entire piece. At the end of our program, after Aarti and Swami had gone, the other musicians all around me said, Swami was staring at you the whole time! But did you kow that every time you looked down, Swami laughed?!!!. Love & Regards, Mumbai Srinivasan.
