#StoryTime Around 9:30 this morning i was on my way to a new client. I stopped at sasol to put petrol in my car. He fills up. I give him my standard bank debit card, he swipes, a declined message comes up. I ask him to try another machine, the same decline message comes up. I grab my card and go to their ABSA ATM. An error message and instruction to go to my bank. First thought was Ive been robbed I try the machine again. Same thing, oh my God I have been robbed I went inside the Sasol store told them my story, I offer to leave my ID. The manager without saying a word goes to the back comes back with 7 or 8 ID books and 4 drivers licenses. He says to me No ID we are not home affairs, money or your cellphone I look at my time, i think to myself if I spend 5 more minutes here I will be late for a new client - I cant afford that. I tell him I Cant leave my phone, I need it. He shrugs his shoulders and goes back to the back room. I remembered I had my iPad, I can leave that behind I thought to myself...I go to the car I get the iPad and give him. He smiled nervously like he didnt expect that. He asked what time will i be back, early afternoon I tell him. After a successful first time meeting and Standard bank ATM working again. I get back to Sasol to pay and get my iPad, and its nowhere to be found... A mini tantrum and a threat to call the police later, the iPad magically appears. The excuse being they didnt see where he( the original guy) had put it. If looks could kill, I would have killed the whole store.
