Storyline 39 (Grad day) My graduation was finally here. I was so excited. Id finally have qualification. And I was greatful that the lord had been there with me all the way. Hed lead me so that I didnt walk the wrong path. Most of the people who Id started off with had dropped out in their second year. Mom: Get dressed baby or youll be late. Me: Thanks for always being there for me ma. A tear drops down my cheeks. Mom: Whats all this emotionalness for? Me: Haha. But ma Im serious. I never understood at first. I know I didnt always get what I wanted in life but now that made me who I am. I know I have to work hard to get what I want. You always managed to provide for us when you had nothing. More tears roll down my face. My mom wipes them with her hands. Mom: Thats what mothers do. Youll understand when little one here pops out. She touches my tummy and smiles. Mom: Now get dressed. She left and I got into my dress which felt so tight. I then called my mom to do my make up. She did my make up and we were ready to leave. My little brother drove us to the grad hall. And we got there and Sibu and dad were already waiting for us. The ceremony started at 6. After the ceremony all graduates where called to take photos if they wanted to. I went to take a picture with the fam. Afterwards we all went out but,my dad didnt go because he felt tired. We went to spur. Ate up and headed home. Before we left though Sibu gave me a box of my favorite chocolates ferrero. Me: Thanks baby but you didnt have to. Sibu: Id gotten you something else but I was kind of busy this week. Me: With? Sibu: My first client. Me: Ohh. Sibu: Let me not keep you guys. Good night He kisses my forehead then my tummy. Bukho: You two get a room please! Sibu laughs and walks off. We drive home. I head straight to bed when we got home. The next day my friends came over to visit because my mom and Sibu didnt want me to go anywhere alone. Phesh: Heyy friend! Me: Hey guys! Qamani: Tjoo your so fat tshommie Me: Tell me about it. Phesh: Lets go somewhere! Me: Whats the occasion? Phesh: Your graduation. You need to go out hello! No braai? No fun? Stop being boring though. Me: Friends Im too tired junior wears me off. Qamani: Mxm I think you use junior as an excuse. Lets go wethu. I got dressed into the clothes that fitted me in my wardrobe. And we left. We went to buy meet in quigney at spar. After that we went to Buccaneers and ordered a bucs basket. The ladies ordered ciders and I ordered juice. We ate and chatted. We even tried calling Lebos mom to ask how Lebo was doing but she didnt answer her phone. It got late so we headed back home and called the guys to come join us braai some meat. My mom and brother got home with more meat and snacks. I got so tired before the meat was done so I left everyone and headed to bed. I got up the next morning and saw Sibus missed calls. I called him back. Sibu: Baby? Me: I saw your missed calls. Sibu: I just missed you. Me: Ncooh Sibu: So what you doing? Me: I,just got out of bed. Sibu: Ohh. How was the braai. Me: I dont know. You know how this fella gets late at night. He doesnt want me up too late. Sibu: Im sorry couldnt come. I had research to finish off. Me: Okay. Babe Ive been thinking about the wedding date. Sibu: Yeah. Me: I want it to be in two weeks time. On the twentieth maybe. Sibu: Perfect! Me: I love you. Sibu: You know I do too. I hang up. I wake up and head to the kitchen. Mom was in the kitchen. Me: Morning. Mom: Hello sleeping beauty. Me: Mom? Mom: Yeah. Me: Ive found a wedding date. Mom: Really baby? Me: Yeah. Mom: And? Me: Its on the 20th in two weeks time. I cant delay it any longer because Ill end up not fitting into my dress coz of baby fat. Mom: Yess! My mom hugs me. And takes her phone and calls all her friends and blabs about my wedding. I decide to take a shower and watch tv. So I did just that got into my gown and watched tv the whole day.
