Study in Italy Italy has played an important role in European higher education: it is one of the four countries that first engaged to create the so-called “European Area of Higher Education” (Sorbonne Declaration, May 1998), thus starting that type of higher education reform which, known as “Bologna Process” (Bologna Declaration, June 1999) is being implemented all over Europe. Today Italy ranks among the 8 most industrialized countries in the world. Intakes: September-October, February-March. But normally international Students are taken in September-October session. Program of Study & Duration: Bachelor Degree (3 Years): Computer Science, Engineering Sciences, Biotechnology, B.B.A, Finance, Management and Marketing, Finance and Banking, Computer Science, Economics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Economics etc. Master’s Degree (2 Years): Natural Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Statistics etc Engineering: Networking and Information Technology, Management and Marketing, Finance and Banking, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Economics, Organization Management, MBA etc. Business: International Business, Management, Planning and Management of Tourism Systems, Finance and other latest state-of-art programs are available. The Second Cycle Degree Programme: It is the second level of university studies. Prior to the reforms introduced by Italian ministerial degree , this type of degree was called “Specialistica”. Entry Requirements: For Bachelor: At least 12 years study has to be completed. Study gap maximum 3 years is accepted. Madrasa Education is not allowed. HSC result must not be below 3.5 For Masters: At least bachelor (Hons. BSc, BBA, BA) pass. 3 years degree pass is also accepted. Partial result doesn’t carry extra value to get admission. Work experience is not required but may carry extra credential to get admission in University. Language Proficiency: No IELTS, No TOEFL is official requirement. But students have to smartly face the oral test in the embassy.
