Study ties higher blood glucose rates to memory problems People whose blood glucose levels were high but still within the normal range had poorer scores on memory tests and showed smaller hippocampus size compared with their counterparts who had lower glucose levels, a study found. The findings in the journal Neurology suggest that lowering glucose rates even for those within the normal range may aid patients cognitive functions as they age, researchers said.
