Subject: Legislation threatens wild horses, burros and public lands Hi, Livestock grazing on public lands in the American West devastates the environment and harms wildlife -- including Americas wild horses and burros. These iconic animals are rounded up and removed by the tens of thousands from public lands in the West to make room for commercial livestock grazing. The Grazing Improvement Act would drastically reduce protections for our public lands, weaken the publics ability to have a say in how public lands are managed and ultimately hurt Americas last remaining wild horses and burros. This bill passed the House this spring and could be considered by the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee within the next 10 days.
