Subject: President Obama: Fracked Gas and Oil are not the Solution - Ban Fracking on Public Lands Hi, I signed a petition to Sally Jewell, Secretary of the Interior and President Barack Obama which says: "Action to address climate change is desperately needed, but any real plan to combat climate change cannot include fracking for natural gas and oil as part of the solution. Drilling, fracking, and transporting gas and oil releases large amounts of methane, a potent greenhouse gas, into the air and contributes to climate change. We are asking you to stop promoting natural gas as a bridge fuel and to take action to ban fracking on all public lands. Natural gas is not clean - we need real renewable energy solutions now."
