Submarine Museum to host to Honor And Remember, A Celebration Of Our Nation And Its Veterans, TODAY at 1 p.m. GROTON, Conn. - In a spirit of gratitude and recognition, VITAS Innovative Hospice Care is coordinating the To Honor And Remember, A Celebration Of Our Nation And Its Veterans on today, Thursday, May 22 at 1p.m. at the Historic Ship Nautilus And Submarine Force Library & Museum. This fifth annual event celebrates veterans, living and past, and their contributions to the nation and local community. Capt Carl Lahti, Commanding Officer, Naval Submarine Base New London, will be guest speaker. Connecticut veterans and their families, along with state veterans officials will be in attendance at the service, which will include patriotic music. Members of Navy Team New London and the public are also invited to attend and show their support for these American heroes. Uniform for military members attending the ceremony as audience members is Navy Working Uniform or better. Refreshments and fellowship will follow the service.
