Submitted on Mayhems official Facebook page: SUGGESTED SCRIPT FOR ALLSTATE/MAYHEM COMMERCIAL: (Scene: A dark and stormy night - a flash of lightning reveals a two-story house with lighted windows, with a lone figure on roof with arms raised and curved upwards and tilted to one side, all the while as Mayhem theme music is playing. Camera zooms in to reveal figure as Meyhem, grinning.) MAYHEM: (voice raised over noise of storm) Im your satellite dish antenna. (Lightning flashes. Mayem glances upwards.) MAYHEM: (voice raised) And for the last fifteen years, Ive been faithfully relaying all your favorite programs to every TV in your house. (Thunder rumbles.) MAYHEM: And in all that time - (lightning flashes) - youve been lucky lightning hasnt struck me. (thunder rumbles) Because the contractor who installed me - (lightning flashes, closely followed by thunder. Mayhem glances upwards.) - didnt connect my grounding wire properly. (Mayhem looks upwards as he speaks.) Looks like tonight might be my lucky - (Lightning strikes Mayhem, with a loud boom. Every bone in Mayhems body is illuminated. Camera switches to long range shot at beginning of scene, showing lightning striking Mayhem, sparks and flashes of light in every window of house. House goes dark. Faint screams are heard. Mayhem, arms still upraised, falls off roof in a swan dive, landing on ground with a crunching thud.) (Scene: Camera looking down on Mayhem lying on ground, face blackened, clothes scorched and smoking, with hair standing on end. A couple of stray sparks dance from ends of hair. A harried man rushes into view, stares briefly down at Mayhem, then looks briefly upwards directly at camera, then turns to someone off-camera as rain begins to fall.) HARRIED HOMEOWNER: (waving to someone off-camera) Get back. Back inside. (Harried homeowner moves off-camera, in direction waved.) MAYHEM: (as camera view slowly ascends, retreating) And if youve got cut-rate insurance, you could be the one paying for all new electronics in your house.
