Such a refreshing sight this morning. The snow had dusted the ground overnight and there was a definite brisk feeling in the air. At this time of the year, such an atmosphere reminds us that Thanksgiving day is almost here, and Christmas -- my favorite holiday -- is just around the corner. Soon, it will be time to dust off the ornaments and set the radio stations to the holiday music. Wow, it sure feels like the year went awfully fast .... Huh? ... What did you say? ... Its what??? ... March 30th??? ... Really? It cant be March 30th!!! ... Well, no, I dont remember what happened with the 2014 baseball season ... Did the Penguins win the Stanley Cup? ... It hasnt happened yet? ... None of that has happened yet? ... Oh yeah, I forgot, its March 30th, uh-huh ... So, no turkey and stuffing to look forward to? ... No Christmas decorating yet? But my lights are strung on the garage and the house. It HAS to be close to the holidays ... Oh yeah, they were never taken down since last Christmas ... I hope the neighbors arent making jokes about me for that ... Anyway ... Now Im starting to wake up and realize that two days ago my team practiced baseball on the field. BASEBALL! ... We wake up this morning to find the winter that refuses to go away has made at least one more evil return ... WINTER!!! Man, this sucks :(
