And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city art thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel. What tribe you come from? And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee. Walang deputed sa David to hear thee. Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which hath any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice! And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him. And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel. For thy servant vowed a vow while I abode at Geshur in Syria, saying, If the LORD shall bring me again indeed to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD. And the king said unto him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hebron. But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, As soon as ye hear the sound of the trumpet, then ye shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron. And the kings servants said unto the king, Behold, thy servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall appoint. And the king went forth, and all his household after him. The king said also unto Zadok the priest, Art not thou a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar. See, I will tarry in the plain of the wilderness, until there come word from you to certify me. Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to Jerusalem: and they tarried there. But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, Ito si Hushai ay counselor ni David ito , merun na siya Zadok , merun na siyang Jonathan na anak ni Abiathar , merun pa siyang Hushai eventually , si Hushai ay katiwala ni David , pinabalik siya sa Jerusalem at sabihin mo kay Absalom I will serve you as I have serve your father . I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy fathers servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel. Sino si Ahithophel this the first time who give an advice to Absalom kung papaano niya ide-defeat ang kanyang tatay niyang si David nakapangit ng advice ni Ahithophel kay Absalom pero ang panalangin ni David sabi niya kay Hushai manatili ka sa korte ng hari sabihin mo kay Absalom kung akoy naglilingkod ako sa tatay mo , maglilingkod din ako sayo at ikaw ang gagamitin ng Panginoong Dios para talunin ang counsel o advice na ibibigay ni Ahithophel kay Absalom , you know what God hears the David’s prayer 2 Samuel 16 :15 And Absalom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him. 16 And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, Davids friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, God save the king, God save the king. So Hushai pretended that he is truly loyalty to the king to Absalom kaya ang sabi ni David uwi ka doon kunyari sabihin mo kay Absalom I’ll serve you as I’ll serve your Father so mission impossible itong gagawin ni Hushai bakit? He has to convince to Absalom that now na ang loyaty niya ay wala na kay David kilala ni Hushai ni Absalom to be David’s Friend , how going to convince Absalom that his loyaty now was not with his father kundi na kay Absalom na. Sabi Ni Hushai God save the king, God save the king. And Absalom said to Hushai, Is this thy kindness to thy friend? why wentest thou not with thy friend? ito ba ang kabutihan na gagawin mo sa kaibigan mo, Sinong kaibigan na tinutukoy niya ? Si David prang sinabi balimbing ka pala eh, parang ang dating kay Hushai ay balimbing and Hushai said to Absalom Nay; but whom the LORD, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide. Kung sino ang pin ili ng Dios , pinili ng tao ay siyang paglingkuran ko sabi ni Hushai so he trying his best to convince Absalom . And again, whom should I serve? should I not serve in the presence of his son? as I have served in thy fathers presence, so will I be in thy presence. Naglingkod ako sa tatay mo hindi rin ba ako maglilingkod sayo? Sabi ni Hushai kaya mission impossible yong ginagawa niya he has to convince Absalom . Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do. Si Ahithophel dati siyang counselor ni David this time he is not David counselor , this guy kahit noon pa man merun na siyang maitim na balak ,merung siyang private Agenda, merun siyang plano , here is the advice of Ahithophel to Absalom and Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy fathers concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong. Ang una niyang advice niya kay Absalom is sipingan mo lahat ng babae na iniwan ng tatay mo , ibig sabihin yon ay pagyurak sa pangalan at dangal ng kanyang Tata yang unag inad-vice ni Ahithophel to Absalom is to damage David Morally by Absalom sleeping with David’s concubines sa harap ng bansang Israel openly ay kanyang niyurakan, kayang nilalabanan ang kanyang tatay na si David , what an advice is this? Did Absalom do this? Ginawa ba ito ni Absalom? Yes So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his fathers concubines in the sight of all Israel. Ipinakita ni Absalom na under ko na ang tatay ko kasi lahat ng babae niya ay akin na , hindi niya ginawang lihim it was done in the sight of the people. Church maraming nag-advice pakasiguraduhin mo na ang advice ay galling sa Panginoon, hindi lahat ng Advice ay galling sa Dios. And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days ,why because he trust Ahithophel much ,dahil my reputation si Ahithophel na ang kanyang Advice as if, as if it is Oracle of God merun siyang ganung reputation kaya lahat ng sinasabi niya parang the saint the Lord , was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom. Could we imagine na si Ahithophel hindi lang si Absalom ang pinayuhan pero he do he has counseling David, noon pa nong kina-counsel niya si David merun na siyang nasa puso niya, and he just waiting for his turn na masipa din si David in the Land at nakakita siya ng Opportunity sapapamagitan ni Absalom , Ahithophel saw an opportunity in the house of David to the person of Absalom. 2 Samuel 17:1 Moreover Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Let me now choose out twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after David this night: 2 And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him afraid: and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will smite the king only: And I will bring back all the people unto thee: the man whom thou seekest is as if all returned: so all the people shall be in peace. And the saying pleased Absalom well, and all the elders of Israel. Dito nagkamali si Ahithophel , this man make name who himself ang sabi niya bigyan mo ako ng twelve thousand men I will pursue David while he is weary and weak handed habang siya ay pagud at mahina , this guy doesn’t know David hindi niya kilala si David , he not pursuing in weakling hindi siya humahabol sa taong weakling and hinahabol niya season warrior bakit gusto ni Ahithophel na siya ay lumaban dahil pag nagapi niya si David magiging celebrity, he will be a celebrity overnight , parang sinabi niya kay Absalom, Boss relax ka lang diyan e-enjoy mo ang mga babae ng tatay mo , habang ini-enjoy mo ang mga babae ng tatay mo, bigyan mo ako ang sundalo , hahabulin ko siya, papatayin ko siya, pagbalik ko ditto tapos na problema mo. Then said Absalom, Call now Hushai the Archite also, and let us hear likewise what he saith. And when Hushai was come to Absalom, Absalom spake unto him, saying, Ahithophel hath spoken after this manner: shall we do after his saying? if not; speak thou. Hindi niya gad binara yong payo ni Ahithophel , ito ang sinabi ni Ahithophel sa amin kung susundin ba naming o hindi magsalita kana ngayon , And Hushai said unto Absalom, The counsel that Ahithophel hath given is not good at this time.Hindi niya sinabing mali yan , hindi, sinabi niya sa panahon ngayon hindi yan oobra yan ,ganun lang simple lang ang tirada ni Hushai , bakit po? Kasi yong panalangin ni David umuwi ka doon at manatili ka doon at talunin mo ang counsel ni Ahithophel yon ang panalangin ni David . Alam ninyo sa Gawain kailangan natin ng mga Hushai para maging mahusay an gating buhay , hindi na kailangan pa nakaharap , hindi ganyan ang kapatid natin kilala ko yon eh! Hindi siya nadadala agad, na kung saan magtatanggol sayo, we have a brother’s keeper , hindi dapat tayo matulad kay Cain Am I brothers keeper?tayo kayo brother’s keeper kaya? Si Hushai ganun siya kay David alam ni Hushai na si David parin ang pinahiran ng Panginoon , medyo hindi oobra ang sinabi ni Ahithophel ngayon . For, said Hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and thy father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people. sabi ni Hushai bata kilala mo tatay mo ang tatay mo hindi yan umaatras sa digmaan yan, ang tatay mo at mga kasamahan niya ay sanay sa bakbakan yan, kilala mo kung anung klasing magdirigma ang tatay mo,at yong pinuntahan at pinagtaguan niyang bundok ngayon dating pinagtaguan niya yan noong siya ay tinutugis ni Saul alam niya trend doon , wala pang inatrasan na laban si David. Sabi ni Hushai hindi weakling klasing tao ang tatay mo and he is the man of and will not lodge with the people. Behold, he is hid now in some pit, siya ay nakatago sa mga kweba doon or in some other place: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown at the first, that whosoever heareth it will say, There is a slaughter among the people that follow Absalom. Kaya kung hindi ka magingat, hindi ninyo alam ang papunta doon ma-aamboss lang kayo, aabangan kayo ng tatay mo , ang Advice ni Hushai ay parang nagside kay Absalom nuh!parang medyo may masakit siya kay Absalom , pero wala siyang kamalay-malay binigyan ng wisdom ng Panginoon si Hosea para pigilin si Absalom na hindi tugusin si David kasi he will give David enough time to hide, para makatago talaga at dito po hindi nangyari ang kagustuhan ni Ahithophel na siya ang lalaban, alam ninyo kung ano nangyari nakapag-isip-isip si Absalom , ako ngayon ang hahabol sa tatay ko , mapride si Absalom . And he also that is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt: for all Israel knoweth that thy father is a mighty man, and they which be with him are valiant men. Hindi biro ang tatay mo mighty man nga eh! Therefore I counsel that all Israel be generally gathered unto thee, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, as the sand that is by the sea for multitude; and that thou go to battle in thine own person. Ang sinabi niya ngayon pumunta ka sa Dan sa Beer-sheba instead 12 thousand men lang kailangan mo ng maraming Army para sigurado ka na ma-defeat mo ang tatay mo. So shall we come upon him in some place where he shall be found, and we will light upon him as the dew falleth on the ground: and of him and of all the men that are with him there shall not be left so much as one. Moreover, if he be gotten into a city, then shall all Israel bring ropes to that city, and we will draw it into the river, until there be not one small stone found there. And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. Yong panalangin ni David ay nangyari bakit? For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom. Ano nangyari kay Ahithophel? Nagpakamatay, 2 Samuel 17: 23 And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the sepulchre of his father. You see the man who wasted his talent , you see a man with a potential because he was given a wrong motive , na kanyang talent will use to the glory of God , decided with the wrong person , he allowed his talent use with the wrong person , dahil siya mismo merun siyang maling motibo. Alam niya na pag si Absalom ang humabol kay David alam ni Ahithophel the whole army of Absalom will be defeated alam yon ni Ahithophel, kaya pag-uwi niya sa bahay tinanggap na niya ng pagkatalo at umuwi siyang lugolugo, siguro naglinis muna ng bahay niya , kumain, naghugas ng pinggan, inaayos ang higaan maya-maya ay nagbigti, Sino ang naalala natin ditto? Si Judas . was Judas did Jesus also? Yes, was Ahithophel did David also? Yes, hindi ba nakita ni Ahithophel ang ginawa ni David for many years , hindi ba niya nakita that David defeated many many enemies , hindi ba nakita ni Ahithophel na ang Dios ay nakay David , hindi ba niya nakita kay David ang mabuting ginawa ng Panginoon kay David and all of a good sight because of wrong motive he change. Akala niya ganun lang ma-defeat si David , hindi rin ba alam ni Judas ganun kay Cristo ?hindi ba niya nakita kung anu ginawa n gating Panginoon, but he allowed himself to use to the Pharisees and Sadducees. Kaya minsan sa Gawain ng Panginoon na may nawawala dumating na may lumalaban sayo , ikaw na pinahiran ng Panginoon, magtataka ka wala bang nakita ang mga taong yan, wala ba silang narinig over the years , noong umupo sila sa upuan nay an wala ba silang tinanggap na revelation galing sa Panginoon noong panahon na sila ay nakaupo dyan, then suddenly turn their backs they say evil things against to you, wala ba silang napakinggan, wala lang bang pumasok na revelation sa panahon na nakasama natin sila mga kapatid. Diba maraming Ahithophel! May nagging kasama tayo nagging Ahithophel.wala ka bang naintindihan, ano ginawa ni Ahithophel he just throw the garbage bin lahat ng ginawa ng Dios kay David because of the wrong motive.Kung my Loyal friend ka din he leave you, turn enemies maraming Ahithophel .be careful , we should be careful, the people we trusted, who will break your trust.It is not how you start, it is how you finished what you started , he is not how you fast you start kahit parang pagong ka sa pag-umpisa sa Gawain basta tama ang motibo mo at makikita mo ang katapusan kung ano ang pinagawa ng Panginoon saiyo.Wala naming contest, pero si Ahithophel parang wala siyang napakiggan, wala siyang nakita , saying yong talent could we imagine pag si Ahithophel pagnagsalita , ang kanyang advice as if someone the oracle of God ganun siya katindi magsalita saan na siya ngayon, saan niya pinagamit nag kanyang kaloob ?doon sa kalaban ng Dios , ngayon hindi siya napagbigyan at alam niya kung ano klasing tao ang kakalabanin ni Absalom nag-give-up siya alam na yon eh kasi kilala niya went home hang himself. He should be killed times is own he rebels his own father, and rebellions consequence ay kamatayan, and know the whole Israel against here king , he don’t care about what happen to their army ang inutos niya Huwag ninyong saktan ang bata, Sinu si Joab, anu ginawa ni Joab kay Absalom? Si Joab ang tumulong kay Absalom nang siya po ay pinalayas ng tatay niya , si Joab ang nag-escort kay Absalom para kausapin siya ng tatay niya. Ibig sabihin si Joab tumulong siya , Si Joab inutusan ni David para si Uriah ay mamatay ,si Joab ang taong inutusan ni David para yong asawa ni Bathsheba na si Uriah dalhin ni Joab sa pinakadilikadong bahagi ng digmaan. Joab was the old general of David , yan ang utos ng hari hindi mabali. Pagdating kay Uriah, ipapatay si Uriah, para ano? Para ang kanyang Lust of the flesh ay matupad, pero kay Absalom na nagrebel sa kanya huwag mong papatayin. What happen? How many men died? Oh my King thou newest forever you’re God even our God hath delivered you’re enemy to your hand. Merun pa isang mensahedor Anu- anu ang balita kamusta yong batang si Absalom ? Oh my thy faithful God hath delivered you’re enemy at your hand. Natuwa ba si David ? hindi, hindi yon ang good news na hinintay ni David , diba may tao na hinahatiran natin ng Good news , deliverance ang Good news niya eh, God delivered David into the hand of Israeli pero hindi yon ang gusto ni David , parang tayo nangangalat tayo ng Good news sa tao pero iba ang Goodnews sa kanila, God delivered you , why? He sent his only begotten son to deliver sa kamay ng kaaway na si Satanas pero gusto ban g tao yan? Si davd natuwa ba. Hindi niya sinabi Grasya amigos , salamat natalo na yong kalaban natin. Pero hindi kasi anak niya yon eh ang ginawa ni David yong celebration , pag nanalo sila sa digmaan para silang nanalo sa basketball championship, yong mga army umuwi sla jubilant kaso yong hari andun sa kanyang kwarto umiiyak . alam ninyo ang lakas ng iyak ni David at naririnig yon sa baba, they were families became widow sa araw na yon but David hesitate it. The only thing he care about his son. Hindi niya alam na mga bata, naulila , maraming nabalo na babae para e-carryout ang utos niya . Pero wala siyang ginawa . nalungkot ang mga sundalo, yan ang nanalo sa gyira na malungkot, naglugo-lugo bakit? Yong hari umiiyak eh! Ang ginawa ni Joab, dahil matagal na sila nitong magkasama, pinuntahan niya si David “ ikaw wala kang inatupag kundi ang kapakanan ng iyong anak , hindi mo alam kung gaano karami ang namatay sa araw na naito , ang araw sa pagsunud saiyo ,pag hindi ka lumabas at hindi ka tumigil sa kaiiyak mo bukas wala ka nang sundalo”” Open rebuke is better that secret Love “ nahimas masan si David , nahimasmasan yong hari lumabas . 2 Samuel 19:1 And it was told Joab, Behold, the king weepeth and mourneth for Absalom. Siguro kung nabuhay si Absalom tayong lahat ay namatay iwan ko lang saiyo? May karapatan ban a magalit si Joab? Yes, siya ang general may malasakit siya sa kanyang mga sundalo. Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto thy servants: for I swear by the LORD, if thou go not forth, there will not tarry one with thee this night: walang matitirang sundalo kahit isa ngayong gabi and that will be worse unto thee than all the evil that befell thee from thy youth until now. And all the people came before the king: for Israel had fled every man to his tent. Naguwian na yong mga tao sa kanya-kanyang tent. Actually noong malaman ng Israel Absalom died then David went back to Jerusalem to be the king of Israel. Did you see the dark side of David? Offcurse as a father it gravely affected him but marked his decision it coward his decision , hindi na siya nagging patas ang naisip nalang I david ang kanyang personal interest disregarding of the feelings of his people , disregarding the feelings under him. Sabi ng Bible Worst is the way of transgression , nakakatakot po humiwalay sa kalooban ng Panginoon. Itong nangyari kay David ito ay pweding magyari sa atin. Lalo na yong mga Leader ng mga Church kailangan maingat kasi ang Demonyo andyan lang para tuksuhin tayo. Ang tinitira pa naman ay ang Shepherd if you destroyed the shepherd they scattered the flock. Kaya Church hindi lang kayo ang pinagpray ng Pastor ninyo, pray your pastor also, they need your prayers also. The point that I preach many people like you and I na dumating sa time ng discouragement alam ninyo si david ditto niya po nakita kung gaano siya kamahal n gating Panginoon, we can say David so depressed why? Dahil ang kanyang pinakamamahal niyang anak ay namatay . Depression can hurt anyone of us , walang taong exception lahat tayo ay pweding ma- depress for whatever reason na pweding mangyari sa buhay natin , ang nakapag-depress kay David yong kanyang anak ay lumaban sa kanya,yong kanyang sariling bayan ne-reject siya , yong pinakamamahal niyang anak ay namatay .he greatly depress sa nangyari sa kanya but God had a grace towards the depression of David , Depression comes in different size forms and ways. Tayong lahat pweding ma-depress, pweding mawalan ng pag-asa , yong iba sa atin bigla nalang malungkot , wlang galak , dumating na sa point wala kanang gana, napagud ka, nadry ka sa paglilingkod mo sa Panginoon . But same God who comforted David noong nasa depression siya. It can happened to David, it will happened to us also.anu sabi ni Jeremaiah he took and pray to the Lord Jeremaiah says buti nalang na hindi ako sinilang Panginoon , ganito lang pala ang buhay an daranasin ko, ang buhay ni Jeremaiah ay puno ng hapis kaya siya tinawag na weeping prophet but there is can Jeremiah cant deny, pagkatapos complain pagkatapos niyan sabihin ang gustong niyang sabihin sa Panginoon, he says but kung pipigilan ko ang aking bibig na sabihin ang iyong mga salita ay yan parang apoy na nasa loob ng aking buto.I like fire suck in my bones .nagsabi si Jeremaiah ng sama ng loob sa Dios, hindi masama magsabi ng masama ng loob sa Dios,Si David nga kaya nasulat yong Pslam dahil si David ganun din sabi ni My God, My God why thou art forsaken me?sinabi din ito ni Christ . Hindi tayo superman , we not pretending na tayo ay malalakas , hindi ako matitisod, there is a time matitisod Karin lahat tayo dumaan diyan. Im not Justifying na ok lang yan, No! im just saying na pweding mangyari ito sa mga buhay natin . nangyari kasi kay david pero ang maganda nito napakayaman ng biyaya ng Dios kay David yon ang nagligtas kay David. Anu ang sabi ng Dios kay Job my grace is sufficient for you . kahit sabihin mo na ayaw mo na magsimba pero kinabukasan nagsimba ka parin. Tulak ng bibig, kabig ng dibdib. Bakit hindi mo matake kasi my binhi kana eh! Hindi ka Masaya na wala ka sa church, hindi ka Masaya kung wala ka sa Gawain ng Panginoon.Minsan nawawala an gating unang pangi-ibig, hindi yan kasalanan natural lang yan na mararanasan mo sa buhay ng isang Kristiyano , normal yan talagang my dry seasons , but continue to serving God, hindi tayo pababayaan n gating Panginoon kung papaano si david hindi pinabayaan ng Dios ganun din tayo. Huwag tayong maging kagaya kay Ahithophel, huwag tayong gumaya kay Absalom kung naniwala tayo na ang sinundan natin ay lingcod ng Dios hindi masamang sumunod at nasa likod ng lingcod ng Dios at kung paano si David ay hindi perfect , hindi rin perfect ang lingcod ng Dios na pwedi nating sundan pero kung nasa kanya ang pahid ng Panginoon magpasakop tayo sa pinahiran ng Panginoon, kung ikaw ay nagpasakop pagpapalain ka ng Panginoon dahil ganyan ang attitude ni david iniyakan pa nga niya ni David si Saul hindi niya nilabanan , he could not kill Saul many times pero hindi niya pinatay anu sabi niya kay saul? How can I harm the Lord anointed , pinahiran siya ng Dios. Kung ano man o sino man tumayo sa harapan niyo to deliver the word we know that they are trying there best to be good example to us ,but not all times a good example on us because they are also a human but they do there atmost to leave there lives that simplifying it , but kung sila man ay magkamali don’t see it because they are human can commit mistake . Ang gawin natin let us pray one another, walked together, marched on, pressing on to the glory of God cause we Believe that the Son of David is coming Soon our Lord Jesus Christ. God bless us!
