Sunday evening update for Donnie Today has been a very busy day of unexpected surprises. Started of with the early morning visit from the dr. Hes said all of his labs are looking great. Lungs are clearing up good, he ordered solid food for him to eat beginning today, for lunch open roast beef and he selected chicken Marcella for dinner! Although had ate small amounts each meal, hes having No trouble digesting. Everything is going in. And coming out as it should! No feeling of any nausea. He had a very unpleasant tube removed today that he wanted to kiss the nurses! He was a happy camper! All medicines are now in pill form. Still on ivs but minimum. Off oxygen as well.as his appetite begins to grow there weening him off the feeding tube. He is having minimum pain at the wound site so he is off all narcotics which I hope helps him with his nightmares hes been having last couple of nights. I thank God for his miracles and each if you for continuing to pray for Donnie as he is getting out of the woods. Two of the Dr that gave me very little hope that Donnie would survive this came by and just wanted to see him today and said that it was my faith and all of our prayers and Donnies fight is why he is with us today. They just cant believe how far hes came. Prayers are still needed as the battle continues! Its a wonderful blessing seeing his recovery before my eyes. god bless each of you and your familys from the Mcdowells. Keeping the faith and of course God has this!
