Sunday will be a bitter-sweet day as we recognize Ruth Nelson (not a relative but kind of a "surrogate mother"to me these past 28 years as associate minister), 92.5 years "young", as she reluctantly has made the decision to retire as a LONGTIME member of the First Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir.... after 76 years! YES, I said 76 years of continuous faithful, loyal, and enthusiastic service! Thank you Ruth! Well done, thou good and faithful servant!!
