Support Services Professional- one-on-one (Cramerton/ Gaston County) Hughes Behavioral and Mental Health Services is currently interviewing potential staff to work with a CAP/IDD client in the Cramerton area. Client is a young man who is a soon to be 14yrs old. Client is VERY active and enjoys staying busy. Client is diagnosed with Profound MR and Lennox -Gastaut Syndrome (lgsfoundation.org/) (LGS) is one of the most difficult forms of epilepsy to treat. Client takes many medications to control his seizures and sleep patterns and recently had a vagus nerve stimulator implanted to reduce seizure activity. Client has seizures daily but severity varies from day to day. Client needs constant supervision. Client does have behavioral issues so being firm and consistent is very important. Client is nonverbal and has no awareness of danger. Work schedule: SUNDAYS- 11hrs 6:30am-1:30pm (In-home intensive/ personal care) 1:30-5:30pm (In-home skill building) Summer MONDAYS- 9hrs 10:30am-3:30pm (In-home intensive) 3:30-7:30pm (In-home skill building) School year MONDAYS- 6.5-7hrs 2:30pm-5:30pm (In-home skill building) 5:30pm- sleep/bedtime {9:00/9:30pm} (In-home intensive) *More hours may come available down the road. Flexibility is a must due to families needs. Pay rates are: $11/hr for In-home intensive $13/hr for In-home skill building Client also has Respite hours that can be used as needed at a rate of $8/hr.
