Surah al Baqarah Statement 267: O Muslim Faithful! Spend (on the less- privileged in charity) out of (the wealth and resources you may have) lawfully earned (&/or acquired and what is pleasing among your earnings). (as well as out of that which ) WE bring out as produce from the land for you. Do not choose (to give in charity what is) inferior (in quality and grade and) which you would not accept (as a gift ) without (belittling it and treating it with) disdain. Remember (that you donate for your own good as it benefits ALLAH in no way) ALLAH is most-sufficient (& free of all material needs). (In fact, Allah is) worthy of wholesome praise (in every situation and in all circumstances).
