Susan Niemeyer Spear, a friend from Ohio and a nurse at Cincinnati - TopicsExpress

Susan Niemeyer Spear, a friend from Ohio and a nurse at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital, just found these photos and sent them. Gratitude beyond measure for those who send photos of Keyla and their times with us in Matamoros. It troubles us so that Keyla is in such desperation. Imagine a child, perhaps your child, with intellectual and physical limitations (with seizures controlled and showing the type of life indicated by these and other photos), away from you for 3 and a half years by action of a federal government agency. Add that she has lived in at least 5 locations, including now an psychiatric facility in California. Add that you have had no contact with her for 3 and a half years. Is it any surprise at all that she is isolated and alone and broken (with her seizures not under control as recently as July) in that facility? We are doing all that we can do legally. Keyla needs Nancy. She needs Nancy now. We cannot disturb or interfere or speed-up the legal process. But you can help. Please write your friends. Write a newspaper. Write those in power in the church communities and in government. Let them know how important it is that a federal government agency (the Office of Refugee Resettlement [email protected], in particular) allow Nancy to be at Keylas side. Please share this in all places that you can and with as many as you can! Lets get Nancy to Keyla. If you can help, you may be saving a life!
