Suspected Ebola carrier cleared Air Namibia has confirmed that a passenger on board an Air Namibia flight from Johannesburg to Windhoek initially suspected of suffering from the deadly Ebola virus, has been medically cleared off the disease by a medical team from the Ministry of Health and Social Services. According to Air Namibia’s senior manager of marketing and communication Wimpie van Vuuren, the passenger who showed symptoms of the killer disease, currently devastating the Western African region, suffered from a severe allergic reaction from fish he had consumed while holidaying on the island of Zanzibar. 102 passengers, 56 of which were Namibians were forced to remain on the plane under quarantine upon the flights arrival early this morning until their release this afternoon.
