Sustain-ably Shining Bright!! Council Delivers on Capital Works Program/Sustainable Lighting Project. A $30,000 capital works contribution has seen the installation of four (4) new lights at Horsham’s Youth Park. The newly approved low energy use LED lighting is at the forefront of public lighting technology, reducing energy use by 75%. Powercor installed the new lighting this week (9/5/2014) and are expected to begin rolling out new LED street lighting later in the year as a replacement for older Mercury Vapour type lighting commonly seen in our local street.
