Symptoms of acute Bronchitis in children: In children afflicted by acute Bronchitis, the bronchi secrete excess mucus. By coughing, the lungs try to throw out the excess mucus. Hence one of the most common symptoms of acute Bronchitis is coughing which starts as a dry cough and then becomes a "wet" cough. The bouts of coughing can become more severe at night. The child may also suffer from low grade fever along with body ache. Other symptoms include running nose, sore throat, nasal congestion, general discomfort and pleurisy.
