TAMAR YACHT CLUB SPRING MIDWEEK SERIES 2013 Aim: To provide a series of social races within a structured format. Races will be run within the “Racing Rules of Sailing” (Blue Book) prescriptions. Series will consist of seven races with five races to count. Dates: Wednesday 16/10, 23/10, 30/10, 06/11, 13/11, 20/11 & 27/11/13 Start time: 1800 Courses will be in the vicinity of Beauty Point and advised on the day at least one hour prior to start time. Competitors. One yacht will constitute a race. To claim points for the series a yacht must complete the course set. Handicaps will initially be set arbitrarily using data available from TYC & PDYC bases. Thereafter handicaps will be adjusted using the facility of the Sailwave system. If an anomaly is detected handicaps may be adjusted outside the Sailwave guidelines. Spinnakers. Competitors must advise if they intend to use spinnakers. Once nominated with or without spinnakers such nomination shall exist for the duration of the series. Barbecue facilities are available for after race festivities. BYO food and refreshments.
