TFTD~Put Bear-Bear in a Cast, Too Every time our daughter has surgery she has a hard time telling the nurses and doctors where she hurts or if she has a problem. We’ve learned to give her a speaking aid. His name is Bear-Bear. Every time she goes to the hospital she takes her special stuffed bear named Bear-Bear with her. If she has a cast, an epidural, oxygen or an IV, the Doctors and nurses give Bear-Bear one, too. Bear-Bear goes into surgery with her and comes out with the same Bear-Bear sized cast as hers when she heads to the recovery room. When she needs to she can point to where Bear-Bear hurts, or itches, and the staff can help her take care of her problem. Bear-Bear is getting old and bald from the many casts and other "procedures" he has had done over the years but he is still a valuable tool. Everybody needs a Bear-Bear….
