THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! We have officially passed our goal for THE MAY EVENTs fundraising campaign and we want to thank all of our supporters for making it happen! Youve enabled us to bring these three new works to audiences for the first time and were so grateful. Though we’ve reached our fundraising goal, our campaign will continue through to the end of THE MAY EVENT. Why? As a theater collective, The Brewing Dept. was founded on the principle that we can best achieve the goals of our individual artists when we employ the skills and talents of the whole company. THE MAY EVENT is this principle in practice: three projects-in-development, growing and benefiting from a shared learning experience and a system of company support. Reaching our $1,500 goal has enabled us to create that support system. Contributions beyond our goal ensure our ability to continue supporting emerging artists’ work in the future. Your gift will go directly towards the renewal of our General Liability Insurance policy ($425) and our website hosting fees ($15), which are vital to our ongoing ability to support our artists’ work and therefore our success as a company. They are already at work behind the scenes of THE MAY EVENT. For example – we use our website to give you access to THE MAY EVENT artists’ work through our blog, and our insurance policy (besides protecting our artists and our company!) has given our artists access to reduced-rate rehearsal space. Exceeding our goal by $450 ensures our ability to continue and expand our work on projects like THE GUATEMALA PROJECT, THE DEATH PLAY, and HAMLETGHOSTS in The Brewing Dept.’s future.
