THE BIZ: I have found that the average person often exhibits strange behavior around comedians. Why? I couldnt tell you. I just write it off as ignorance. For example, when people find out I m a comedian, they tell me they like comedy. I always find that bizarre. When I was a journalist, nobody I ever told me they loved news or journalism. Then there is the nature of the remark. Why should I care what you like? I mean its great that you love comedy but thats not really any of my business. When I have gone out on dates, I never said to them upon first meeting them that I love women. That would seem weird and strange not to mention just plain dumb. Same rule applies here.
