THE CONVERSION YOU NEED AFTER SALVATION 2 PETER 1: 4 -9; EPHESIANS 2:2-5; HEBREWS 7:25 Salvation is not the end of the road because after salvation comes the divine process of converting you from your old ways to become like Christ. Some things need to be continuously added to your salvation experience or else you will be like someone who was never saved in the first place (Read 2 Peter 1: 2-9 again). Salvation is when your sins are forgiven and you receive eternal life in your spirit, it is instantaneous and then a process begins to lead to your conversion from the following: a) Your old ways of solving problems (which is the same way unbelievers solve theirs) b) Your old ways of relating with people and the society. c) Your priorities in life. d) Your way of handling finances. e) Where you go and friends you keep have to change. f) How you do business has to change, no more bribery and poor work ethics. g) Your beliefs and philosophies of 1ife also have to change to those of Christ. After being saved, all the above listed and others like them that characterize your old life have to change to the kingdom way of handling them. They may not change overnight but the Holy Spirit will always be in you to correct you from your old ways of doing things and you must yield to Him. A new believer who just became saved is like a street orphan who is adopted into a well-cultured family. The adoption is salvation but the conversion must start to change him from the old wild ways of life ‘on the street,’ to this new life. He has to learn how to eat at dining table, how to relate with people, and phase out bad habits. Most of our training in the world has been supervised by the devil to his advantage and for his purpose e.g. civilization, social training, philosophy, psychology, and literacy is supervised by the devil. You may have been born again since ten years ago but the question is how far have you gone (after your salvation) in the conversion process? (Mark 4:11-12) You have to take the responsibility of submitting yourself to the conversion process. Your cooperation and willingness to yield to the Holy Spirit will determine the speed and the depth of your conversion. PRAYER: Lord Jesus I am ready for your conversion process; Holy Spirit show me areas that I am not yet converted to the kingdom way and help through my conversion process till I become like Christ in Jesus’ name, amen.
