THE COUNSEL OF GOD I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. (Psalm 32:8) Dearly beloved, In the early days of our ministry, while preparing the TV programmes, my husband used to sit in the recording studio day and night doing everything. When special programmes for Christmas and Easter had to be telecast, he used to wait for hours together in the TV station. We were doing the ministry amidst such difficulties. But, today, people from TV stations come in search of us requesting us to give programmes as they give joy and blessing to the multitudes. Today, you may say, “Who is going to miss me? I am a forgotten and useless person.” No, dear ones! When the Holy Spirit comes into us, He teaches us everything. We can never say, “I don’t know anything; I can’t do anything.” The Bible clearly says, “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth” (I John 2:20). When the Holy Spirit thus comes into us, He makes us know all things. The Scripture says, “As for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit--just as it has taught you, remain in Him” (I John 2:27). Let us pray to the Lord saying, “Lord, till now, I was living as a useless and unwise person. Come upon me, O, Holy Spirit, this year! Please teach me everything and lift me up.” Then He will teach you everything. When the disciples of Lord Jesus were filled with the Holy Spirit, they were joyful. Hence ask the Lord, “Through me, others should get this joy; there should be blessing in my family; there should be elevation in my personal life, studies and job.” The Bible states, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” (II Corinthians 3:17). Perhaps you are living with sickness, pain and problems in the family. Yet the Lord will grant you deliverance from all of them. He will fill you and your family with His joy. He will give joy to others through you so that you would be a blessing to all. He will make you arise and shine this year. The Lord says, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you” (Psalm 32:8). According to this Bible verse, He will counsel you and guide you in the right path. He will guard you along the way and lead you to a place of blessing and honour. You shall receive this privilege through the Holy Spirit from this year. Keep thanking God who guided you the whole of this month and step into a new month. ,
