THE GNOSTIC MOVEMENTS OF EUROPE Always worth remembering the Gnostic-Hermetic memories, traces of Europe. Just in brief, mentioning them: The medieval Bogomil/Cathar movement - in Bulgaria, Bosnia, Italy, France and in Hungary In Bulgaria, there is still an older memory, the Thracian tradition with its marvellous, fine golden creations. Later, the famous Bogomil movement had started from here founded in the First Bulgarian Empire by the priest Bogomil during the reign of Tsar Peter I in the 10th century. In its spiritual roots the Bogomilism is actually the continuation of the Eastern Paulicians; see the map. From Bulgaria spread quickly the Bogomilism to Bosnia, Dalmatia, Italy and France (Cathars). Later, in the 13th century, after the tragedy of the Cathar Pure Ones, several cathar brothers had found peace in the heart of Europe, at the Paulus Order (Pálosok), in the different mountains and caves of Hungary. After their Good End, their bodies were never found; just like as it happened with the bogomil and the cathar brothers. The spiritual heritage of the Religion of Light is very real, living, considering, that all these movements were connecting to the people with thousand threads. Their memories, monuments are still radiating this Eternal Light; the sanctuaries of the initiation caves and mountains, are marvellous Powerplaces.
