THE LAMP PROJECT: We are an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization called The Lamp Project, and we illuminate and support socially engaged artists and the causes they champion. We are looking for people skilled in directing, filming, editing, mixing, and/or other aspects of production and post-production, for the purpose of profiling talented creators and highlighting their art and their cause. At thelampproject.org you can find video, audio, and print examples of our work, as well as a few promotional videos that explain to the world what were about. Collectively, we are people from the realms of art, entertainment, and the non-profit sector, spanning the country with Los Angeles as our center. We are passionate and motivated. We envision a world with more high-caliber socially conscious artists as well as more arts consumers whose concern for social issues influences how they search for great art. We know that superb art and worthwhile causes are a natural combination and we are striving to bring this synergy and its benefits to the forefront of our society and culture.
