THE NEW AND SOME GOOD NEWS: First: See the addition of new hedges along the path in front of the Veterans Memorial Walk. A beautiful enhancement that will also protect the lawn and plantings. Good News: Many donors and the JCVA committee and members have been very unhappy with the quality of the paver bricks and the engraving errors that were installed at the monuments. In a recent meeting between the Walk committee and the primary contractor it was agreed that a new paver engraving company will REPLACE ALL 940+ pavers that were installed prior to the Dedication and Flag Raising (at no additional cost to the project). It will be done monument by monument starting in February. All pavers donated after the dedication will be produced after the replacement effort is complete. Paver placement errors will also be corrected during this effort. IMPORTANT: If you are aware of an error in the engraving of your donation and have not yet reported it to us by e-mail at JohnsCreekVets@GMail please do so quickly so we can include the correction in the replacement process.
