THE STUDENT 12 year old TYLER CLEM holds off THE PROFESSOR IVEDENT LLOYD JR in an awesome battle during heat races for the UNITED DIRT LATE MODEL CHALLENGE SERIES at Bubba Raceway Park Saturday night!!!! The video attached is from Saturday Night August 2nd in Ocala Florida at Bubba Raceway Park. We had a great night of racing on the 3/8 mile banked clay oval with one of the top highlights of the year being this big time battle between National Late Model Star and Ocala Icon Ivedent Lloyd Jr and the young driver Tyler Clem who recently turned 12 years old. Clem has been racing since the age of 5 and has amassed 14 total Championships including 3 National Championships in a multitude of racing vehicles. He has now moved up to the top tier racing classes on dirt ovals and is the youngest developmental driver for NASCARs Tony Stewarts racing team Stewart-Haas Racing. Lloyd, a 5 Time National Late Model Series Champion and 2 Time Southern All-stars Series Champion is a National Late Model Racing Star and local Mentor for the youngster Clem. As one of the top Late Model Drivers in the country Lloyd has been a great role model for Clem who hopes to one day earn the right to be viewed by Lloyd as a peer. For this heat race on this night the Student held off the Professor and hopes that in the process he gained some respect and made the National Late Model Champion and Ocala Legend Lloyd smile at his progress.
