THE TESTIMONY OF SISTER “L” I knew sister “L” in - TopicsExpress

THE TESTIMONY OF SISTER “L” I knew sister “L” in my earlier years at HI5 which Tagged acquired some years back. When we met, it did not take me a long time to understand that she loves the Lord. Before I knew it, she was joining me in every prayer request that a friend sent. We got too close and I was glad to have her as my prayer partner. I have here three definitions of testimony; 1. Open declaration profession, 2. Proof: something that supports a fact or a claim 3. A public declaration of religious experience Note that testimony is not defined as usually a good ending about any one’s situation. We often use this word to portray happy ending only. It can be an unhappy ending as well as far as we humans are concerned. The entire bible is dominated by testimonies especially when we read about what it says about a person’s life or a given situation. When you testify, you’re telling your audience about your experience in life. Sister ‘L’ as I want to call her to hide her identity to everyone except her best friend had a hard time towards her last years in life. First, she lost her husband, and then one of her sons died, before the enemy struck her with cancer. Friends we prayed and believed God for the miracle of healing before she went for surgery but I lost my sister ‘L’ at last. It was her best friend that broke the sad news to me through her email address. I am openly saying this because I have used her testimony to console some of my friends. Yes, some of you may have read what I sent you in a form of advice. She was a woman of God yet she suffered in the hands of the enemy. 2. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing (James1:2-4). This was what I was constantly reminding my sister as the weight of her pain was weighing her down. After she died, I wept and asked God why He allowed my sister to pass through her experience. I am happy to report to you that God answered me during the last week of December 2014. When He called me in His usual gently voice, He said; are you ready to know why my daughter ‘L’ went through all that pain? I said yes and this was His answer; “I had to use her because she could bear it. If not for her, you probably could not have had point of reference to all those that wrote you with problems.” The response was a long one but this summary I hope will shine light into it. Let us not credit God with any act of temptation (James 1:13) even though He allows it. I never understood James 1:14;‘But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.’ Having considered sister ‘L’s life and that of Job, I come to the conclusion that lust could be attributed to fear of the Lord if one has the fear of the Lord and fear as well. Brethren, let us bear in mind Saint Paul’s statement in 1Corinthians 10:13 and remind ourselves when the enemy is trying to be funny;’ There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.’ In this New Year 2015, God is going to be working with us if we allow Him; ‘For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all pointstempted like as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15).’ Your 2014 may have been tough and rough but the best for you is yet to come if you believe and trust that Lord. Apostle Paul says something that we must all have at the back of our minds; For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21).’ As you trust God just know that He wants the best for you (Jeremiah 29:11 PRAYER POINT: Lord help me to bear and carry my cross no matter the pranks that the enemy may try. Thank you Lord for I am waiting patiently for my blessings in this 2015. Have a miracle filled 2015 in Jesus name.
