THE TIME OF JESUS By Charles Samuel Inman In order to understand the time of Jesus one must know what it was like to be Jewish at that time. There had been several kingdoms to rule over Israel. The worst I have found were the Romans. How would you feel if there was a kingdom come into your country and remove all your rights? In order to have the right to worship the God of your choosing the Israelites had to deal with the Romans, but even then they had to do what they said or they would lose that right. I know because I was once a Jew. I had to convert to be a Jew so I could merry my wife. The Jewish people are God’s chosen people. They have struggled for liberty and freedom as most people are today. Jesus came and tried to correct the things by showing He was the Son of the most high God and His ability to do that was not in vane for there has not been anyone in the history of mankind to make such a mark on the human race sense. Jesus said He had not come to destroy the Law of Moses, but to fulfill the law. What He meant was to destroy the traditions of mankind and glorify God the Father and put the traditions aside and bring mankind to salvation through Him who is the Son of the most high God Jehovah. The only way this could be done is to be a perfect and final sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. Think about it!
