Perishable foods should be refrigerated within two hours. After two hours, harmful bacteria can multiply rapidly, putting you and your guests at risk of foodborne illness. Use refrigerated leftovers within three to four days, and reheat stored leftovers to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
