THE VILLAGE WE CALL COUNTRY IS DYING Courtesy: Anonymous Writer If I was a well trained and qualified legal practitioner , I will be digging for hard evidence to institute a law suit against Tunale University or the CDC on the Ebola crisis. I will be collaborating with Sierra Leonean medical doctors to prepare concise questions on the research that was done in the MRU and the outcome of it. I will look for any means possible to obtain the results of their experiments that were done on my people and the possible relation to this current epidemic. Results from scientific research are bound by time after which they become obsolete if no publication is done. In the mines and mineral industry, all citations older than 10 years are invalid but I dont know for medicine. Disease are known to move across geographical barriers but they always leave a trail behind. DR Congo to SL you have to pass through at least 8 countries and I know bats dont fly over the ocean. Even if they do, this epidemic should have started in the coastal towns instead of Geugeudou which is over 500km inland. Where did this current Ebola epidemic originate and why is it close to the region where the Tunale university was conducting their research? You may want to know what will a lawsuit gain in the fight against the disease? 1) It will give us answers to the cause. 2) It will let Uncle Sam know that though we are closer to monkeys in terms of colour, we can still think and ask relevant questions. 3) If it can be proven that Tunale and CDC bear some responsibility in this, they will take responsibility to solve. 4) It will awaken the consciences of American congress men that African are humans. 5)And it will shut the mouths of people like Donald Trump and Congress man Allan. We are joking with what has the potential of destroying our existence as a nation. Without trying to shift the blame or absolve our lapses managing the crisis, I will never forgive America if the origin of this disease is the result of a scientific research/experiment that has gone bad. I totally agree that the only way this current Ebola epidemic can be halted is by restricting movement into and out of the MRU but for such a call to come from Uncle Sam is the greatest irony and political rhetoric Ive heard in a long time.
