THINGS TO CONSIDER THIS YEAR 1. ETERNITY: Consider the 3 Ts of eternity. a. Think Eternity: Let your Mind be flooded with thoughts of how temporary and brief life on earth is. Remain mindful of this truth, that no matter how long you live here on earth, LIFE on earth is short. Let the brevity of life on earth keep you conscious of the values of eternity. Live with ETERNITYs values in view. Refuse to let anyone or anything attract or distract you from remaining consistently conscious of eternity. Remember, Consistent consciousness sustains. If you will remain consistently conscious of eternity, your desire and bid to prepare for this timeless and endless Dimension of existence will be sustained. In 2nd Timothy 3:1-5, the apostle Paul admonishes us to be students of eschatology, i.e. events of the Last days and proceeds to enlist common tendencies of men in the last days that We need to avoid. b. Talk Eternity: Words are powerful. It is said that WHAT YOU ARE TODAY IS ALSO A RESULT OF WHAT YOU SAID OR HEARD YESTERDAY. The writer of Proverbs under divine inspiration asserts in the 18th Chapter and 21st verse that DEATH & LIFE ARE IN THE POWER OF THE TONGUE. Engage your tongue in speaking positively concerning your future In eternity. We often declare Psalm 118:17, I SHALL NOT DIE, BUT LIVE, AND DECLARE THE WORKS OF THE LORD; expressing our desire to Live long on earth. Let us take this declaration further and deeper. It should also be a declaration expressing our dogged determination to escape eternal damnation and to make Heaven. It should be a declaration to attain eternal LIFE by keeping our names Indelibly imprinted in THE BOOK OF LIFE. My dear, TALK ETERNITY. Pray about eternity. The habit of always going before God in prayer to bombard His ears with your earthly and material needs without giving preeminence to your eternal and Spiritual needs is an obnoxious one, a cry for help for that matter. For what shall It profit you if God grants all your material needs without saving your soul for a good place In eternity? Let your first prayer request for 2014 be the preparation of your soul for LIFE In eternity. Talk ETERNITY. Speak to people about the imminence of the Lords return to rapture His Church. Bring people to a place of awareness of the times in which We live. Avail yourself as a mouthpiece of God to inform others about ETERNITY. Let soulwinning be your heartbeat, as a disciple of Christ. Do not win people Just to swell up the numbers in your local church. Win them for heaven. Let the narrow way to LIFE be choked with souls that you brought to Christ. c. Touch ETERNITY: Concentrate a greater portion of your General investments on things and pursuits that have eternal value. When We sow into the soil of TIME, we reap a harvest that is temporary. But when We sow into the soil of ETERNITY, our harvest is endless. Give more of your heart, time, money and efforts to endeavours that affect the souls of people for eternity. Invest more into genuine pursuits that Advance Gods Kingdom. Let Heaven feel your impact. And let hell be pained for your presence on earth. This year, THINK, TALK & TOUCH ETERNITY...
