THINK ABOUT THIS: God forbid this because only He can, but imagine that you went on a wonderful luxury vacation cruise, or you were flying to some exotic destination to relax and enjoy yourself, but something went drastically wrong on the way – either the cruiser was wrecked and began to sink, or the plane crashed. You find yourself in the middle of the ocean, still alive, but not knowing if you are going to survive, it is a life or death situation. Whose name would you call and cry out for help to save your life? Would it be your spouse? Your lover? Your friend? Your Bank Manager? Your Stockbroker? Your Boss? Your Golf Club? Or would it be a thing like your house, your car, your job, your bank account, your ipod, ipad or facebook? You may very well want to call one of these names or things because this is all you know, they all relate to the people or things which you have allowed to completely control all of the focus and time in your life. The thing is though, you would know at that point without a shred of doubt, that it is ONLY God who has the power to save you. If you called God’s name only at the time of a disastrous and life threatening situation, would He even recognize your voice? Have you ever spoken to Him before? Do you thank Him every day for your life, health, strength and all your blessings? Do you ever think of Him? Do you go to His House to worship Him ? Think carefully about who or what is now first place in your life, and you may realize that it should only be the One who is allowing you to live and breathe and have good things at this very moment, and who could allow everything to disappear in the next. It should be the One who, even if some disaster brings with it your appointed time to leave this earth, He would be holding you and taking you safely into eternal life with Him. PRAISE BE TO JESUS !
