THIRSTY? JOHN 4:14 – “but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” Until you encounter Jesus Christ in your life, you will have a sense of dissatisfaction, a sense of hunger to know what life is all about and what happens after life is over. Jesus Christ was water to the thirsty. Why are people dying of thirst? People are preaching the Word but they are not bringing Jesus on the scene. Although God’s Word refreshes our mind, only God’s Spirit renews our strength. If you do not act on the Word, it only refreshes your mind but does not renew your strength. There is a great danger of waste in prayer without corresponding action. We are to be sons of God with power, evangelists, pastors, Christians with power. The Jesus Christ of the Scriptures is Jesus in the power of the Holy Ghost. When you are born again, you have received the nature of God and you become unconquerable. That nature will continue to grow in you with your confession of the Father’s perfect dominion of your body, soul and spirit. Therefore, talk scripture. Answer someone with the Word of God. It is the Word of God in the heart of a believer that becomes bread to the hungry, water to the thirsty, a roadmap to the lost and keys to open and close doors and Christ is the Word. So, if you find yourself in want, in need, thirsty, come to Jesus. Receive Him in the midst of your heart and you will never thirst again.
