THIS BARRISTER KEEPS SURPRISING ME ! I received a call some few months ago, from a fellow Barrista, informing me about his publication project for SAB. We fixed an appointment to meet, so that we can discuss better. Al Amdulillah, we eventually met on wednesday 6th of August 2014. We settled down to discuss what the project is all about. He said the project had started before SABs demise. Hed met one on one with SAB at Fuji Chamber, to discuss what his intention was. He said SAB was full of happiness and felt honoured, because its the first of its kind in Nigeria. As a matter of fact, he did not hesitate to approve the project. But unfortunately, SAB fell sick and died, shortly afterwards. Ever since the death of SAB, this gentleman has tried contact one or two people to see how this project can be announced to all SAB fans and associates before the commencement of the new school calendar, but all to no avail. But now that the project has come to the knowledge of SAB fans, I thinks something positive should be able to come out of this. Barr Moshood Oba is a playwright, poet, critic and journalist. Hes a graduate of english, from the prestigious university of lagos. Hes published series of books for lagos state schools, such as, Abiku, A Wasted Monday, Ete, Two Plays, Mutahiru, The Blur Mirror, The Husband of My Wife, Madam Sekkys Fate, What Should Happen and Asan Meta. Moshood Oba is a name to be reckoned with, when it comes to book publications. MUTAHIRU is a book with the entire story line extracted from the album, Anobi Rasak, and as well dedicated to the memory of late Dr Sikiru Ayinde Barrister. The book is published for all lagos state schools, mainly secondary schools. Both public and private, with the approval of Lagos State govt. Heres Barr Moshood Oba, presenting one of the copies to me. Having read from the start to the end, I found the story very interesting. I tell you, SAB will always remain great till eternity !
