THIS LETTER WAS SEND TO ME BY A DEAR DR. FRIEND OF MINE. A GREAT HUMAN BEING Three years ago I had a dream, that together we could be instrumental in organizing a song that would unite the world. The song would be sung in many different languages, by many artists and through its revenue would bring care to many patients around the world. As you well know, I emailed you that very morning and you emailed me back 50 pages of your thoughts, feelings and stories. Fernanda Schwyter, who has been the engine behind this project was moved and inspired by your words. She ran with them to her friend, Maria Isabel (Misi) Murillo and the rest is history!!! Our song “Sola Tú No Estás - Fight against Cancer” has made it to iTunes and YouTube!!! In just 3 weeks we have 3503 YouTube views and the five leading countries are: USA, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil and Spain! The song was written by Misi Murillo, the famous Colombian Broadway playwright who also donated the recording studio, and it is based on the feelings, thoughts and stories of my Breast Cancer patients and their families - Silva’s Army. Actually, the first 3 email responses came from men, describing their walk with their wives, mothers, sisters and daughters. It is a family illness! Our song is sung by 7 Colombian artists, all very famous in their own right, truly gifted and exceptional superstars!!! Who came together under the leadership of Misi and followed her inspiration to change the world, leading by example, to bring free medicine to patients with Breast cancer, by first uniting their voices, vocations and charismas with synergy and taking their hands to the fire. Misi, as well as the 7 singers (Sandra Jaramillo, Natalia Bedoya, Ilona, Sebastian Yepes, Santiago Deluchi, Jaime Ortiz and Santiago Hernandez), the recording team who did the musical arrangements (Moises Herrera and Santiago Deluchi) and the video manager (Mario Ruiz) have donated all of their time, talent, and possible income to Emmaus Medical Mission (EMM), a 501c3, tax deductible, humanitarian relief organization. An NGO, in which NO ONE has salaries and everyone contributes on a volunteer basis, hoping to bring medicines and care to our afflicted sisters forgotten by the world. The money generated from the sales will be returned to each country that generates it, in medicines directly mailed/delivered to the patients at their homes or alternatively in the sponsorship of women in Latin America participating in Randomized clinical trials of the highest ethical and moral character. Please be kind enough to scroll down and click on the YouTube link and if you are moved by “Sola Tú No Estás – Fight Against Cancer", please buy the iTunes version (uploaded for free by Tony Grandson). We receive ¢60 out of every ¢99 song purchase. youtube/watch?v=Mh1gu_bEFvY
